European Retail Consultant of the Year 2008
C&W was named European Retail Consultant of the Year 2008 at the MAPIC EG Retail Awards in Cannes, France. It is the third consecutive year that the company has won the prestigious international award.The panel of 12 international judges awarded Cushman & Wakefield the title for providing the best overall international contribution – through consultancy and advice provision to retailers, developers, financiers and the public sector; transaction facilitation; retail outlet management; and market growth facilitation.
European Property Awards 2008
Cushman & Wakefield was named Retail Agency Team of the Year 2008 at the prestigious European Property Awards 2008 held in Munich, Germany.Cushman & Wakefield previously won this award in 2006. The European Property Awards recognise excellence amongst property advisers across Europe and Cushman & Wakefield beat a shortlist including; CB Richard Ellis, Jones Lang LaSalle, King Sturge and Leimdrorfer, to reclaim the title of Retail Agency team of the year.
Best Places to Work in Portugal 2008
C&W Portugal was elected as the Second Best Place to Work in Portugal 2008. This ranking is organized by the Great Place to Work Institute and published by Público, Portugal's leading daily newspaper. More than 2,000 companies, or around 11,500 employees, have participated in this year’s survey in Portugal and the top 30 were announced.European Retail Property Adviser 2006
C&W was named European Retail Property Adviser 2006 at the inaugural EG Retail & Future Project Awards MAPIC 2006 in Cannes.We were selected for the award for making a meaningful and successful contribution to retail development and growth across the continent. European Property Awards 2006
Cushman & Wakefield won two out of the four awards open to property advisers at the prestigious European Property Awards 2006, scooping both the European Office Agency Team of the Year 2006 and European Retail / Leisure Agency Team of the Year 2006 awards.
The European Property Awards recognise excellence amongst property advisers across Europe,
and are organised by Property Week, Immobilien Zeitung, Expo Real and CoreNet Global.
International Property Agent of the Year 2006
Cushman & Wakefield has won the award for “International Property Agent of the Year 2006” at the RLI (Retail & Leisure International) Awards, held at London’s Natural History Museum. Retail & Leisure International is a leading publication dedicated to the retail and leisure market.John Strachan, Global Head of Retail at Cushman & Wakefield, who was at the gala dinner to accept the award said; “Winning this award acknowledges Cushman & Wakefield’s global leadership position in providing comprehensive and integrated retail and leisure property services to top international clients worldwide.”
Queens Award for Enterprise
The firm is extremely proud that it has been conferred with a second Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade Category. The Queen's Awards are corporate awards recognising the united efforts made by all individuals in a company and therefore honour the management and workforce alike. This is the second time the company has been conferred with such an award - the first time being in 1996.The award is for continuous achievement in international trade, resulting in substantial non-UK earnings with growth and commercial success, sustained over not less than six years, to levels which are outstanding for the services concerned and for the size of its operations.
