 Equity, Debt & Structured Finance Analyst - San Francisco, CA

Job Summary

The Analyst supports transactions generated by the Equity, Debt & Structured Finance team, including debt/equity financings, joint ventures, and loan sales. During this process, the primary role of the Analyst will be to generate relevant Argus reports and prepare offering materials.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Perform feasibility/valuation financial analyses and market analyses
  • Produce applicable reports from the Argus system for analysis and application to assigned transactions
  • Produce financing and sales memorandums for presentation to debt capital providers and equity investors
  • Assist in the assessment of potential debt and equity offerings with responsibility for the preparation of marketing materials to current and prospective clients
  • Create, analyze, and audit property, portfolio and entity level cash flow models
  • Gather market information through research, interviews and property tours
  • Perform continuous market research of the changing universe of equity investors and lenders
  • Maintain database of real estate transactions
  • The Analyst will be most involved at the beginning of a transaction with the data collection and analysis tasks.
  • Other job duties as needed based on transaction assignment and team structure.

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Real Estate or an MBA
  • One to three years work history or internship experience in real estate and/or finance; preferably with a firm engaged in brokerage, investing, consulting, appraisal, or business development
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills
  • Excellent planning, organization and interpersonal skills
  • Strong personal initiative
  • Ability to function in a team-oriented setting while working independently with limited day-to-day supervision
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and work in a fast paced, transaction-oriented environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel and occasionally to work long hours, including some weekends
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail while working under tight time frames with meaningful deadlines
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to correctly prioritize multiple projects
  • Advanced working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Advanced knowledge of Argus software preferred
