The Challenge
C&W provided strategic property advice to Allen & Overy in the selection securing of
Bishops Square on a pre let to provide a modern consolidated London headquarters. Allen &
Overy required c.500,000 sq ft plus expansion options forecast to required an additional
c.200,000sqft. Allen & Overy agreed a pre-let to take 750,000sqft at the flagship
Bishops Square development, Spittalfields. C&W were instructed to dispose of the surplus
space on leases that would meet with the forecast expansion of Allen & Overy occupation
Our impact
Cushman & Wakefield carried out a highly successful marketing plan securing multiple sub
tenants on lease terms that provided Allen & Overy with both competitive rental incomes and
flexibility for forecasted growth. C&W have successfully disposed of c. 200,000 sqft at
Bishops Square on behalf of Allen & Overy to high quality tenants that include:
Societe Generale, Deutsche Bank, Paul Hastings, Akin Gump and MSCI Barra.
The Outcome
Allen & Overy secured a new landmark modern headquarters building, consolidated the
London workforce and providing future planned expansion space. As part of the
occupational strategy C&W disposed of expansion space, securing multiple tenants on
flexible terms that can meet the space requirements of Allen & Overy.
