The Brief
As a result of an internal reorganisation within a Media Client’s group of companies, Cushman
& Wakefield were appointed to secure new premises for two of their advertising agencies,
allowing their existing premises to be occupied by another group company. Due to the nature of
the requirement strict budgetary and programme goals were put in place.
Solution
Following a comprehensive search, which covered both the mid town and city markets, a shortlist
of options were agreed with the clients. Following detailed negotiations, 20,000 ft2 at a
refurbished development site in Islington was secured. While the building was close to
completion, as part of the agreement to lease negotiations, ‘Rights of Representation’ through
to practical completion were procured.
Cushman & Wakefield LLP were appointed to Project Manage the internal fit out. The clients
wanted to create a media style office environment, incorporating the company logo theme of
forward motion. The ‘wavy’ joinery meeting pods, touch down areas in the offices and meeting
suite achieved this requirement.
Each floor was fitted with meet and greet bars, a meeting pod, touch down area’s and hot
desking to provide maximum use of the work space. The meeting suite on the ground floor
provided acoustically treated partitions with dimmable lighting, AV and fitted with
conferencing facilities.
The upper floor offices were fitted out in an open plan layout with manager’s offices to the
rear of the suites and an editing area at the rear of the floors. The offices provide wireless
hot desking as well as room for expansion.
Conclusion
As a result of close coordination between the Cushman & Wakefield Account Team, Agency
& Project Management teams, the end result is a finished product that exceeded the clients
expectations, delivered on time and under budget, thereby allowing other moves and changes
within the group to occur.
