Cushman & Wakefield has acted on behalf of Standard Life Investments (SLI) in the acquisition of Crown Building NV, a subsidiary of Euroinvest which is a fund managed by Rockspring Property Investments Managers.
Crown Building NV controls two prime assets :
The Arcadia Building is located in the centre of Brussels at Mont des Arts/Kunstberg 6-16. This property is a prime CBD office building which was totally refurbished in 2005. The building has a surface area of approximately 8,900 sq.m, the office area is fully let to Fortis Bank.
A semi-industrial estate located in Aartselaar, Kontichsesteenweg 57/71, consisting 31,104 sq.m of warehousing and 5,184 offices. This property is multi-leased to tenants such as ACS, Hansen Transmissions and Federal Mogul
Rockspring is a UK based Fund manager, 100% owned by management and Staff. With offices in London, Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Helsinki and Budapest it has €6.5 bn assets under management in 13 European countries.

Our Impact
C&W introduced this off-market opportunity to Standard Life Investments and advised on the entire transaction, providing the relevant analysis and purchase reports and assisting them in the due diligence process.
The Outcome
Willebroek Logistics Platform SA, a vehicle controlled by SLI's European Property Growth Fund, has bought all of the shares Euroinvest in Crown Building NV. This transaction was successfully closed in December 2007.
