New Portuguese food concept



- H3 - Gourmet Hamburgers
Brief
H3 is an innovative National concept of Gourmet Hamburgers.
With the first 2 stores opened in 2007, H3 initial expansion plan included the opening of 15 to 20 stores by the end of 2010.
Previously acquainted the retail team’s success in tenant representation, C&W was instructed in 2008 to assist H3 with their expansion plan.

Solution
With a short team objective of opening 5 stores by the end of 2009, an expansion plan was designed focussing on the major shopping centres in the Greater Lisbon area. Having come to the conclusion that there is a slow retailer rotation and lack of unit availability in these shoppings, an alternative national wide plan was then considered so as not to comprise the initial objective. C&W introduced H3 to the key developers in the shopping centre market, presenting the brand as an added value for its strongly differentiating concept.

Conclusion
Cushman & Wakefield successfully negotiated 7 stores for H3, having established a strong relationship between the brand and the major players. The concept was very well received by all parties, being today an unquestionably winning concept. With extremely positive results so far, H3 expects to achieve still in 2009 the goal of opening 15 to 20 stores.
