Ground breaking investment transaction for AF Investimentos

The Challenge

We were instructed by Portuguese fund AF Investimentos (part of Millennium BCP group) to act on their behalf in the acquisition of W Shopping. W Shopping is a newly-constructed 12,000 m² GLA downtown shopping centre, located in the district capital of Santarém, some 80 km to the north of Lisbon.

Our Impact

We used the strength of iour retail knowledge to carry out exhaustive due diligence, regional market research, retailer analysis and all negotiations.,

The Outcome

The purchase represented the fund's first acquisition in the retail market and due to the successful outcome of the transaction and support received from C&W, the fund is now looking to increase market share in this sector.

This was a ground-breaking deal, as this was the first time a Portuguese fund has formally contracted the services of an agent for an acquisition.
