CRC

The UK Government’s Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC) started on 1 April 2010. CRC brings emissions trading to the built environment and is one of the most far reaching government policies to impact property in recent years. Cushman & Wakefield, the BRE (Building Research Establishment) and carbon trading specialists Climate Exchange plc have come together to help you prepare for the scheme.

DEC / EPC and ARC

There are many ways to measure and thus reduce current energy use for property; some, like Energy Performance Certificates are already law, others such as Air Conditioning Reports will become law shortly (Jan 2011); there are also some, such as Display Energy Certificates that are proposed but are still in the pipeline.  ALL of them are essential if you want to:

BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) is the leading and most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings. It sets the standard for best practice in sustainable design and has become the de facto measure used to describe a building's environmental performance. C&W recognised the need for a sea of change to keep ahead of the market and our clients expectations and took the decision to sign all of its managed properties on to the scheme – this was an industry first.

Optimising investment performance through sustainability

EIA coordination and management

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a key tool for delivering sustainable development. At C&W we provide a comprehensive range of EIA services, from specialist advice and support on the commercial aspects, to the production of a full EIA and preparation of an Environmental Statement (ES).  We are a member of the IEMA Registered Environmental Impact Assessor Organisation.
