The second half of 2011 saw 225,000 sq.m of new space added to the UK market. Two new shopping centres were opened: Westfield Stratford City (176,500 sq.m) and The Parkway in Newbury (27,400 sq.m), with extensions making up the remainder of the total. Extensions completed in the second half include the Oasis Dining Quarter at Meadowhall, the Spiceal Street restaurant quarter at the Bullring and the Glow events and dining venue at Bluewater.
