Cushman & Wakefield in Indonesia was formed in 2008 with a merger between the company and
its associate office, PT Property Advisory Indonesia (Provis). A recognized industry leader in
the provision of advisory, representation and management services throughout the country, the
team extends to more than 80 professionals, many of whom have in excess of 15 years presence in
the market, representing a very talented and experienced group of local and expatriate
resources.
The Company provides integrated solutions to corporate occupiers, landlords, investors, and developers by actively advising, implementing and managing through every stage of the real estate process, in the areas of Tenant Strategies & Solutions, Interior Design, Project Management, Research & Advisory, Investment, Offices, Residential, and Retail Marketing Consultancy, and Property & Facilities Management.
Indonesia is geographically the largest country in Southeast Asia, the world’s largest archipelago extending to some 16,000 islands, and the world’s 4th most populous nation at 240 million. The country is abundantly rich in natural resources including oil, gas, coal, copper, tin, gold, rubber and timber, as well as palm oil, tea and coffee. Additionally, Indonesia has a large and relatively inexpensive labor force.
With continuing GDP growth reaching 6.3% in 2007 (and expected to be at a similar level in 2008) and a 150% year-on-year increase in foreign direct investment, Indonesia has become one of the world’s 20 largest economies. With continuing improvement in the general social, political and economic conditions, Indonesia is headed for greater growth in the coming years.
