Lotus Originals, the luxury clothing and accessories brand recently launched by Group Lotus,
will open its new global flagship store at 52 Regent Street in London?s Piccadilly. The 4,800
sq ft store is scheduled to open in Spring/Summer 2012.
The retail unit is one of two flagships in the Grade II-listed former Café Royal block where
a luxury five star hotel will open in time for the Olympics. It was acquired by Cushman &
Wakefield from Barco Investments BV, a subsidiary of Alrov Group, one of Israel?s largest
public property companies. CBRE advised Barco Investments BV.
The first Lotus Originals shop was opened by Lotus Renault GP F1 driver Bruno Senna in
December 2011 at the company's headquarters at Hethel in Norfolk. Following the acquisition of
the flagship store, Group Lotus is looking to open a number of Lotus franchising outlets in
high profile locations across the world.
Duncan Gilliard in the Central London retail team at Cushman & Wakefield said: "The
heritage of the Lotus Originals brand and quality of products fit perfectly with the history
and calibre of Regent Street. This new global flagship store is another example of the
continuing improving tenant mix at the southern part of Regent Street as well as of another
international brand opening in the Capital in time for the Olympics."
