Cushman & Wakefield has become the manager of the IGY business centre in Ceske
Budejovice. It is the largest shopping centre in the South Bohemian Region and also includes
offices. CPI Group is the owner of the property.
This is the third business centre the management of which Cushman & Wakefield
has taken over from its competitors in the past twelve months.
The company will be responsible for managing the centre’s operation, releasing of
premises, marketing, and consulting with the intention of increasing the value of the property.
To that end, the company has already hired a team of experts who will provide services both
from the company’s HQ and directly at IGY Centrum.
“We will prepare several changes in co-operation with the property owner, focusing
primarily on making the shopping centre experience more pleasant and on establishing a deeper
connection between the centre and the life of people in and around Ceske Budejovice. IGY has a
great potential for becoming a centre with relevance that reaches beyond its region, and we
want to tap its potential,” says Ondřej Fukal, Head of Cushman &
Wakefield’s Property Management Team.
IGY Centrum was built in 2004 and CPI acquired it in the autumn of 2010. Its retail portion has
21,500 square metres. An additional more than 8,000 square metres is modern office space
compliant with European standards.
