  • Cushman & Wakefield Appointed External Estates Manager For London Borough Of Ealing

    22 Sep, 2010, London

Cushman & Wakefield has been selected as consultant to the London Borough of Ealing for its external estates management contract. The contract took effect from 1 July 2010 and will run for four years in association with EC Harris who are mandated through the Schools and Educational Building Programme.

Brendon Walsh at London Borough of Ealing said, “We are very happy to be working with Cushman & Wakefield and are already benefiting from their considerable local government expertise in both service delivery and value creation and in particular their experience from a number of similar contracts with other London Boroughs.”

Cushman & Wakefield’s remit includes the provision of all estates and valuation services to the Council’s property portfolio. It is anticipated that, subject to completion of the property strategy, the firm will receive a number of instructions to rationalise existing land holdings which it anticipates will bring to the market a number of key opportunities.

One key regeneration priority is Acton Town Hall. In addition to a new service hub for residents there will be new swimming baths, library, fitness facilities and space for community user groups, replacing the existing ageing premises, which will provide opportunities for new homes to be delivered. Acton Town Hall comprises a site of some 3.8 acres and has already attracted considerable interest from a wide range of occupiers and developers.
