PANDORA jewels in Prague’s best location
Denmark-based jewel makers PANDORA have leased the most attractive retail unit in the
centre of Prague. The company will open a jewel and accessory shop on the corner of the Na
Prikope and Havirska Streets. PANDORA is replacing the current occupier, Nordsee, which sells
speciality seafood and will continue operating its restaurant in the Palladium Shopping
Centre.
“PANDORA has found suitable premises for opening its shop in the centre of Prague at
Na Prikope Street, which is by far the most frequented and prestigious high street shopping
location in the Czech Republic. Shops situated on the corners are always among the most
lucrative. Even though rents are the highest in areas such as this, the world’s leading
brands are willing to pay the price asked for top quality space. Their investment will be
returned via the number of customers attracted by the highly visible shop displays,” says
Cushman & Wakefield’s Tomáš Beránek who specialises in high street unit
leases and participated directly in this transaction.
The PANDORA brand is popular primarily for its bracelets that can be complemented with
pendants, resulting in an original piece of jewellery every time. Thanks to a broad network of
shops around the world, various pendants can be bought as reminders of the destinations visited
and the unforgettable experiences.
At this point, PANDORA has its dedicated brand-name shops in the Czech Republic in the
Chodov Shopping Centre and the Forum Nova Karolina in Ostrava. Its products can be purchased in
jewellery shops in other towns where the goods are offered using the ‘shop-in-shop’
concept.
“Penetrating the Prague high street has been our goal ever since our arrival on the Czech
market. The quality of the location was paramount in the selection. Initially, we were trying
to find suitable space ourselves, and then the process substantially accelerated thanks to our
co-operation with Cushman & Wakefield. The brand-name shop at Na Prikope will be one of the
best in Central Europe thanks to its unique location, sales space layout, and the brand
structure in the vicinity,” says
Dušan Šourek, PANDORA brand’s
Country Manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
