The largest office space lease agreement to be entered into so far this year has just been
signed in Moscow: Mail.Ru has entered into an agreement with Hals-Development to lease 29,932
square meters in the Hals SkyLight business centre on Leningradsky Prospekt in Moscow. Cushman
& Wakefield advised the transaction.
The SkyLight business centre comprises two identical, 27-storey-high towers (109.2m),
connected to one another by a "Sky Bridge". The total space available amounts to
111,000 square metres, with a large car park beneath each tower.
Mail.Ru is one of the biggest investors within the Russian and European internet market. The
Mail.Ru Group operates some of biggest websites to come out of Russia, including Mail.Ru,
Vkontakte.ru and Forticom. The company's relocation to the new premises in February 2013 will
mark the consolidation of its office space within Moscow and also accommodate the company's
plans for expansion.
HALS-Development is a Russian real estate developer which has successfully completed 40
projects since its foundation with a total area of over 400,000 square metres.
