Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Simon Hartley to join its growing retail asset
management team. Simon, who joins from GVA Grimley, will be working on a wide variety of
shopping centres. The team, led by John Prestwich, has secured eight new mandates1
in the last 12 months and manages 28 centres across the UK. Its clients include Aviva,
Hermes, Development Securities, Kandahar and Land Securities.
Despite a challenging 12 months, Cushman & Wakefield has succeeded in consolidating its
position as the UK’s leading retail adviser, launching several new business strategies.
These have resulted in increased market share nationally, a 20% growth in revenues and an
increase in staff numbers across the retail team. The firm won ‘Retail/Leisure Agency
Team of the Year’ at the 2010 Property Awards Winner and a ‘Purple Apple’ at
the 2010 BCSC Shopping Centre Marketing Awards.
