Retailers keep an eye on Turnhout

In only a few months time Cushman & Wakefield has been involved in four transactions in Gasthuisstraat, the primary main street of Turnhout; this confirms once again that this shopping street is the most popular of the Kempen region. In October both McGregor (Gasthuisstraat 53-55) and Telenet (Gasthuisstraat 30) took over a shop of respectively 90 and 129 sq.m. In December Yves Rocher (Gasthuisstraat 28) moved to a shop of 45 m² and in January Bozzy decided to rent the available 675 sq.m of Gasthuisstraat 51. The ongoing interest in the Gasthuisstraat is no surprise. Over the last years the centre of Turnhout received a complete face-lift and the main shopping street became free of traffic.
