Global real estate consultant Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) has announced the recruitment
of Fátima Machado and José Almeida for its Asset Management department in Lisbon.
Fátima Machado holds a degree in Civil Engineering for urban planning and management from
the Instituto Superior Técnico and has an Executive Master in Management from Universidade
Católica de Lisboa. Before joining C&W, Fátima worked in the asset management department of
the consultancy firm CB Richard Ellis.
José Almeida obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering, also at Instituto Superior
Técnico, and before joining C&W worked as maintenance and security manager at the Staples
Office Centre.
Cushman & Wakefield’s asset management team, headed by Ricardo Valente (partner), currently
totals 16 professionals who manage more than 45 assets with an approximate value of 900 million
euros. In 2009, the department was selected for five new management mandates including the Mar
Vermelho building (Commerz Real) and the Central Office (Pramerica), amongst others. The
department’s main clients also include Crédit Suisse, Standard Life, RREEF and DEKA, amongst
others.
