  • Cushman & Wakefield Vietnam triumphs at the Asia Pacific property awards

    23 Apr, 2010, Vietnam

Cushman & Wakefield has received the Highly Commended Award for Best Property Consultancy Vietnam (Commercial) and Best Real Estate Agency Marketing Vietnam (Residential) at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2010 in association with Bloomberg Television. Successful entrants were announced at a high profile gala dinner held at the Langham Hotel in Hong Kong on 16th April 2010. The event is part of the International Property Awards, the world?s most prestigious competition dedicated to identifying the best real estate professionals across the globe.

Attending the event Toby Dodd, General Manager for Cushman & Wakefield in Vietnam commented: ?We are very proud to have received these two coveted awards. These accolades are testament to the hard work and dedication of our team in Vietnam and it?s a fantastic achievement. Dodd added: ?We continue to grow and expand our strength and expertise in Vietnam and are now better positioned than ever to offer our clients the full spectrum of real estate services, on an international level.?

The Highly Commended Award for Best Property Consultancy Vietnam was given to Cushman & Wakefield in recognition of their work as tenants? agents for office leasing in Ho Chi Minh City. Cushman & Wakefield has acted on behalf of a range of leading multinational office occupiers, to assist in leasing office space in the city. Additionally, Cushman & Wakefield?s professionalism and market forecasts are well regarded in the market, another attribute that has clearly separated Cushman & Wakefield from other firms.

Cushman & Wakefield also received the Highly Commended Award for Best Real Estate Agency Marketing Vietnam. This award was based on the firm?s successful role as marketing agency for InterContinental Asiana Saigon Residence. The project comprising 260 serviced residences was launched in September 2009 during the global financial crisis, amidst falling rents and increasing vacancy. Despite these conditions Cushman & Wakefield?s Residential Project Marketing team achieved over 60% occupancy within 6 months. This represents one lease being signed every second day or less, and is remarkable achievement, especially due to the market conditions due to the economic crisis. The project is on target to reach full occupancy during 2010.

Later this year, the highest scoring winners from the Asia Pacific Property Awards will compete against other winning companies from Europe, the UK, Europe & Africa, the Americas and Arabia to find the ultimate World?s Best in each category.

The Asia Pacific Property Awards judging panel includes a large group of professionals whose collective knowledge of the property industry is unsurpassed by any other property awards. This year?s judges include Ben Wood, industry head property markets of Google UK; Peter Bolton King, group chief executive of the National Federation of Property Professionals; Christopher Hall, president elect of FIABCI; Patrick Grove, executive chairman of i.Property.com Group Asia Ltd; Thijis Stoffer, International Consortium of Real Estate Agents Association (ICREA); Helen Shield, editor-in-chief of International Homes magazine and Iris Dunbar, British Institute of Interior Design.
