C&W Portugal was elected as the 9th Best Place to Work in Europe, in the
Financial Times’ 50 Best Small & Medium-Sized Workplaces (50-500 employees)
ranking.
The 2008 List of the Best Workplaces in Europe is produced by the Great Place to
Work® Institute Europe and published on 28 May by the Financial Times.
The List of the Best Workplaces in Europe is based on 15 national Best Workplaces studies
carried out in Europe in which participants in all countries are evaluated with the same
methodology and the European List is created on the same criteria as national Lists.
More than 1,250 companies have participated in this year's competition in Europe and based
on the company’s total score, the 100 best have made it to the European List. For the
first time, the companies are presented in two separate Lists featuring Small &
Medium-sized Workplaces with 50-500 employees and Large Workplaces with more than 500
employees. Also for the first time, the companies are ranked.
In the national results, Cushman & Wakefield was considered the 2nd best
workplace in Portugal. C&W also won Best Professional Services Firm and Best Small
Firm (of less than 100 employees) to work for, as well as the distinction for Best Place to
Work for Women.
“We are delighted to receive these very distinguished awards. At the
heart of a great workplace is the ability to create the physical and emotional
environment that makes employees feel acknowledged and rewarded, as
well as meeting their aspirations, both personally and professionally”,
says Eric van Leuven, Managing Partner of C&W in Portugal and member of C&W’s
EMEA board.
