Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Diana Parker has been named Member of the Year by
NAIOP South Florida. The announcement was made at NAIOP's Award of Excellence event held
yesterday at The DCOTA in Fort Lauderdale.
"To receive the award as Member of the Year from my esteemed peers is a most meaningful
honor to me," said Ms. Parker, a Director based in Cushman & Wakefield's Miami
office.
Ms. Parker is currently in her third year as a Director for NAIOP South Florida's Board of
Directors, and has served on its Executive Committee for two years.
"I am afforded the insight to the dedication this association chapter has committed to
excelling value to its members, as we all continue to work hard through these challenging
economic times," said Ms. Parker.
"Diana was tapped four years ago to join the Board due to her vast experience in
strategic planning from having served on national boards, which has taken NAIOP South Florida
to its next level," stated Alice Lucia, Senior Vice President of Jones Lang LaSalle and
Past President of NAIOP South Florida.
"Diana's tremendous involvement and active participation in many facets of the NAIOP
South Florida Chapter, including the transitional issues that faced our Chapter in 2009, proved
invaluable," stated Eric Rapkin, 2010 NAIOP South Florida President and a Shareholder at
Akerman Senterfitt law firm. "Her passion and dedication to promoting NAIOP to the
commercial real estate development community is highly regarded by many, and this recognition
from the NAIOP South Florida leadership is truly deserved."
Ms. Parker is a 20-plus year veteran of the commercial real estate industry in South
Florida, and is highly respected for her experience in successfully representing both landlords
and tenants.
In addition to her work with NAIOP South Florida, Ms. Parker gives back to the community as
an active Board of Directors for Friends of WLRN, Inc. dedicated to the support of WLRN
National Public Radio and Television. Additionally, Ms. Parker is a past National Chair for
CREW Foundation and now serves as an Honorary Trustee on the Board of CREW Foundation.
