Cushman & Wakefield announced today the promotions of seven brokerage professionals in the
Midtown Manhattan office. Molly Beal, George Giannopoulos, Ian Lerner, Christian Stanton, Helen
McCarthy, Tyler McNeil and Emily Weber have been promoted to Senior Associate.
"These brokerage professionals are a valuable asset to Cushman & Wakefield and
their dedication and exceptional work ethic has greatly enhanced our firm," said Suzy
Reingold, Executive Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield's New York City offices.
Molly Beal
Ms. Beal joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2007. A retail broker, Ms. Beal has participated
in the completion of transactions on behalf of Salvatore Ferragamo, H&M, Furla, Milly, and
Bang & Olufsen, to name a few. Prior to joining the firm, she was an associate at CB
Richard Ellis.
Ms. Beal received a bachelor's degree in Human and Organizational Development from
Vanderbilt University. She is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the
Real Estate Board of New York and the New York Junior League.
George Giannopoulos
Mr. Giannopoulos joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2007 and worked as an Associate in the
Long Island office, where he focused on leasing and capital markets.
In 2008, he joined the firm's brokerage department in Midtown Manhattan. Prior to joining the
firm, he founded SC3, a premier event company in New York City catering to high-end products
and worldwide fashion and entertainment brands. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Giannopoulos worked on
the trading desk of Catus Fund, a long/short equity fund and later became the proprietary
trader for his own entity, Titan Equity, in 1999.
Mr. Giannopoulos received a bachelor's degree from Long Island University C.W. Post and is a
member of the Real Estate Board of New York. He is also involved in charitable organizations
including BENS (Business Executives for National Security), Breast Cancer Awareness with the
Estee Lauder Companies, Greek Orthodox Church, Intrepid Museum, Mental Health Association, The
Southampton Hospital, and The Wounded Warriors Project.
Ian Lerner
Mr. Lerner joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2010. As a retail broker, Mr. Lerner has been
involved with deals on behalf of Stuart Weitzman, Ann Taylor, and Nike, among others, and is an
integral part of TD Bank's current New York City expansion strategy.
Prior to joining the firm, he clerked for the Honorable Judge Gill Freeman, the sole Judge
presiding over the Miami-Dade Circuit Court's Complex Business Division. Additionally, Mr.
Lerner drafted and reviewed contracts as a Summer Associate for Zarco, Einhorn, Salkowski &
Brito. Previously, he worked as a law clerk at the Offices of Karen Cohen, where he worked
directly with landlords, homeowners and condo associations, as well as, dealing with distressed
properties.
Mr. Lerner received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of
Miami and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law. He is
involved in Friends of the Israeli Defense Force and the Heather on Earth Foundation.
Christian Stanton
Mr. Stanton joined Cushman & Wakefield's Retail Services group in 2010. Prior to
joining the firm, he worked as a Director of Business Development at a boutique marketing
agency specializing in retail and commercial real estate marketing. Prior to this position, he
spent five years in the ad sales and marketing industry working as an Account Executive for
both CBS and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Mr. Stanton received a bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications and Business from
Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York
and International Council of Shopping Centers and is an American Red Cross volunteer.
Helen McCarthy
Ms. McCarthy joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2011. Prior to joining the firm, she was an
Account Coordinator in the Capital Markets group at Grubb & Ellis Company in Boston, Mass.
Previously, she served as a leasing intern at Jones Lang LaSalle in Hartford, Conn. and as an
intern at the Boston Redevelopment Authority with the Economic Development Industrial
Corporation.
Ms. McCarthy received a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Trinity College in
Hartford, Conn. She is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and serves as a member of
the Orange and Blue Circle of Milton Academy in Milton, Mass.
Tyler McNeil
Mr. McNeil joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2009. He serves as a corporate advisor and
leasing specialist, concentrating on space acquisitions and dispositions. Mr. McNeil spent 18
months servicing the corporate real estate needs of General Electric and NBC on a national
basis and participated in the divestiture of NBC from General Electric. Prior to joining the
firm, Mr. McNeil worked with Paradigm Properties, a Boston based property management firm.
Mr. McNeil received a bachelor's degree in Finance from Boston College. He is a member of
the CoreNet Global New York City Young Leaders Committee, Boston College New York City Alumni
Chapter and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
Emily Weber
Ms. Weber joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2011. Prior to joining the firm, she interned
at Jones Lang LaSalle, C&W and Martha Turner Properties, a top residential real estate firm
in Texas. Ms. Weber was recently selected for The Commercial Observer's "30 under 30"
feature, which highlights rising stars under the age of 30.
Ms. Weber received a bachelor's degree in History from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.
She serves on the Executive Board of Cushman & Wakefield's Future Leaders program.
