  • Tara Stacom Named Vice Chairman Of Cushman & Wakefield

    Board member and leading commercial real estate professional promoted to top brokerage position at 88-year-old powerhouse

    Cushman & Wakefield, the world's largest privately held commercial real estate services firm, today announced the promotion of Tara Stacom to Vice Chairman. She was previously an executive vice president, and has been with the firm for more than two decades.

    The promotion signifies Ms. Stacom's rise to the top of the 88-year-old commercial real estate powerhouse, after consistently ranking as one of the firm's top brokerage professionals, attaining the number three position globally in 2001, and the number one position globally in 2004 - the first woman to achieve that distinction.

    Ms. Stacom represents - often globally - such clients such as The Bank of New York (BNY); Colgate-Palmolive Company; J. & W. Seligman & Company, The McGraw-Hill Companies; and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY). Many of her clients have been with her for more than a decade.

    Ms. Stacom also represents many of the most prominent landlords in New York City, as leasing agent for more than 10 million square feet of Class A office space.

    Ms. Stacom is on the Ethics Committee of the Real Estate Board of New York and its Commercial Brokerage Division's Board of Directors. In 2004, she was elected to the Board of Directors of WX and as a Director of the prestigious Realty Foundation of New York.

    Ms. Stacom serves as a Director's Circle member of Girls, Inc., a national non-profit that draws upon top women in US industry to supports girls in their quest to become independent women.

    Additionally, Ms. Stacom serves on the University Board of Trustees of her alma mater, Lehigh University, where she earned her B.S. in Finance; .she is currently chairing a committee to create a real estate focus in its business school.
