Cushman & Wakefield has the best brand reputation in the commercial real estate industry
in New York, according to a subscriber survey conducted by The Wall Street Journal marketing
department in conjunction with Beta Research Corp.
The survey polled more than 1,200 Journal subscribers in the U.S. on brand familiarity and
reputation across the commercial real estate industry. The results show that 86.4 percent
responded that Cushman & Wakefield had an "excellent" or "very good"
brand reputation in the Greater New York region. New York is the largest commercial real estate
market in the nation, with a total of 393 million square feet, accounting for more than 25
percent of all the Central Business District office space in the nation.
Cushman & Wakefield, which was founded in New York in 1917, is the world's largest
privately-held commercial real estate services firm. The firm recently earned distinction as
the No. 1 brokerage firm in Manhattan, according to a ranking in the October 2011 issue of Real
Estate Forum on the top New York commercial real estate brokerages, No. 1 commercial property
manager, based on a report in a November 2011 issue of Crain's New York Business that lists the
top 25 property managers in Manhattan and No. 1 on New York's largest office leases in the July
2011 issue of Crain's.
