Cushman & Wakefield today announced Matthew Gworek, a leading commercial property
investment professional, has joined the firm as Senior Managing Director of Capital Markets and
U.S. Eastern Region Leader. Known throughout the industry for nearly two decades on the
principal side of the business, first with AEW Capital Management in Boston and Los Angeles and
later with Equity Office Properties Trust in Chicago, he joins Cushman & Wakefield from
Reunion Office Partners, where he was a principal. He will be based in Chicago.
Mr. Gworek has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate capital markets,
with an emphasis on commercial property investment. At Cushman & Wakefield, he will be
responsible for overseeing all of the firm's Investment Sales, Debt & Equity Finance and
Investment Banking activities in the eastern half of the United States. In that capacity, he
will direct growth initiatives, recruitment and training, and oversee business development and
client service throughout the region. In 2010, Cushman & Wakefield's Capital Markets Group
completed sales and financing transactions valued at more than $25 billion globally.

Prior to Reunion Office Partners LLC, Mr. Gworek was a founder and principal of Northshore
Capital Partners from 2008 to 2009. From 1994 to 2007 he was with Equity Office Properties
Trust, where he was a voting member of the company's Investment Committee and served in various
leadership positions including Senior Vice President of Investments, as well Asset &
Portfolio Management. In these roles he was responsible for the acquisition of assets valued at
more than $4.5 billion, and oversaw a portfolio totaling 103 million square feet in the United
States. Previously, from 1988 to 1994 Mr. Gworek was a Vice President of Investments for AEW
Capital Management, where he developed an expertise in office, retail, industrial and
residential assets.
Mr. Gworek holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and a bachelor's
degree in Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. He is a member of the Urban Land
Institute.
