  • Shane Soefker Named South Florida Branch Manager

    Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Shane Soefker has been named branch manager of the firm's South Florida operations.

    Mr. Soefker, who brings more than 15 years of experience to his new position, will be responsible for the leadership of the firm's Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach offices, providing direction and management for their various service lines. He will also focus on business development, leveraging the relationships he has built over the span of his career.

"He is a natural leader, with a broad range of industry experience. Under his direction, we look forward to building upon our success in the South Florida market."

    Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Soefker was principal of Flashpoint Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm he co-founded. While there, he was responsible for all aspects of hard asset and debt acquisitions, development, financing, management and capital formation. Mr. Soefker was previously senior vice president at Banyan Street Partners, where he sourced and evaluated new investment opportunities with a focus on hard asset and debt-related acquisitions.

    Previously, Mr. Soefker ran Flagler Development Company's six million-square-foot South Florida portfolio from 2001 to 2007. As vice president, he oversaw development, leasing and management of the portfolio, in addition to directing the entitlement and master planning process for approximately 1,000 acres in South Florida. Mr. Soefker held previous positions with TrizecHahn Office Properties and Jones Lang LaSalle.

    A native of Memphis, Mr. Soefker moved to South Florida in 2003 and has sat on the boards of NAIOP, the Broward Alliance, Beacon Council and the Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Advisory Board for the University of Florida Center for Real Estate Studies. Mr. Soefker received his bachelor's degree from Christian Brothers University and a master's in Real Estate from the University of Florida, with a concentration in Finance and Development.
