  • California Companies Expand Operations to Plano

    1 Dec, 2010, Plano, TX

Investors Business Daily, a national financial newspaper, and O'Neil Data Systems, an industry leader in data-driven publishing, have purchased a 218,000-square foot office/warehouse facility located at 3100 E. Plano Parkway in Plano, TX. The companies are expanding their office, manufacturing, assembly and distribution operations to Plano. Bob Edge, Gary Collett, Matt Heidelbaugh, Mari Jones and Billy Gannon of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas, Inc. (C&W) negotiated the sale on behalf of the buyers. Holmes Davis of Binswanger represented the building seller.

"Cushman & Wakefield's attention to detail was instrumental in the success of finding our new office/manufacturing combined facility," said William O'Neil founder of Investors Business Daily and O'Neil Data Systems.

Investors Business Daily will occupy space within the 28,000 square feet designated for office usage. O'Neil Data Systems, currently expanding from Los Angeles, will occupy 190,000 square feet for the printing, assembly and distribution of a variety of publications.

"We are excited to have Investors Business Daily and O'Neil Data Systems expand to North Texas," said Mr. Collett, a senior director in C&W's Dallas office. "The facility has a variety of fundamental improvements in place that will augment their operational efficiencies. Assistance from The City of Plano was also important in facilitating the necessary approvals to make this a successful venture, and both Investors Business Daily and O'Neil Data Systems will be outstanding corporate citizens as they have contributed in many ways in the past to the communities in which they have resided."

"This is a great opportunity for Plano, bringing over 200 jobs to our Research/Technology District and providing national exposure to prominent members of the financial community since each issue will include 'printed in Plano, Texas' on the cover," added Phil Dyer, Mayor of Plano.
