Cushman & Wakefield today announced that NAIOP Minnesota has awarded the 2010 President's
Award to Clint Miller. In 30 years of impeccable leadership in the commercial real estate
industry, Clint Miller has positively influenced the professional development of his employees,
his industry colleagues and members of NAIOP.
Clint became associated with Cushman & Wakefield in 2002 when he co-founded Northstar
Partners, a member of the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance program. In 2007, Cushman &
Wakefield acquired Northstar Partners and named Clint Executive Managing Director of its
Minnesota operations and Co-Managing Director of its U.S. Alliance program, which encompasses
28 firms with 750 brokerage professionals in 58 individual cities.
Clint has been active in NAIOP since 1980. He served as president of the Minnesota chapter
in 1995. Additionally, he has served two terms on the board of directors, chaired the public
relations committee, and at two separate times chaired the program committee, one of the
chapters most demanding and visible committees. Clint has personally supported and advocated
NAIOP's community enhancement outreach with CornerHouse, including the ground-up construction
of their first facility in 1989 and its subsequent expansion in 1996. Clint's commitment to
CornerHouse has continued as he and his wife, Joni, co-chaired its 2010 Gala fundraiser event
"Let's Dance", a celebrity dance competition.
In his leadership role at Cushman & Wakefield and more broadly within the real estate
industry, Clint has positively influenced the career development and education of emerging
professionals through NAIOP's developing leader program and also as a mentor in the Minnesota
chapter's recently created mentorship program. He has also been a regular guest lecturer and
presenter at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Department of Real Estate and Urban
Land-Economics.
Clint's team at Cushman & Wakefield is a regular serving partner with Loaves &
Fishes where he can also regularly be found in the kitchen, washing dishes, or in the serving
line.
NAIOP is honored to bestow Clint Miller with its 2010 Presidents Award.
