Cushman & Wakefield's Frank Liantonio, MAI, CRE, and Brian Corcoran, MAI, CRE, have been
designated as "Fellows" (FRICS) of the London-based Royal Institution of Chartered
Surveyors (RICS), the largest professional body for property, land, construction and related
environmental issues worldwide.
With the FRICS designation, Messrs. Liantonio and Corcoran, executive vice presidents of
Cushman & Wakefield, join an elite corps of individuals who represent only a fraction of
one percent of the 110,000 global members of RICS. Through a unique agreement with the
U.S.-based Counselors of Real Estate organization, The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
invites only select members through its "Eminent Practitioner" route.
According to Mr. Liantonio, the honor recognizes the level of professionalism with which he
and Mr. Corcoran have conducted their careers in commercial real estate, as well as the global
nature of their more than 30-year practice.
"Brian and I have benefited greatly from the global growth of Cushman & Wakefield
over the course of our careers," Mr. Liantonio said. "This recognition by the London
Institution of Chartered Surveyors is a true honor, in large part because of the exclusivity of
this group of worldwide practitioners who are designated as fellows."
Mr. Corcoran echoed Mr. Liantonio's sentiments, adding, "Our practice has been built
around the idea of offering exceptional appraisal and valuation service, founded on integrity.
This designation, to me, represents equally our commitment to clients and the size and scope of
our practice today."
Mr. Liantonio has been with Cushman & Wakefield since 1981. In January 2004 he became
co-head of the firm's Capital Markets Group focusing on business development and integration of
the group's related business activities. Mr. Liantonio is a member of the Board of Directors,
serves on the firm's Compensation Committee and sits on the Board of Cushman &Wakefield
Securities Inc.
Mr. Liantonio has been awarded numerous industry and company awards, including the 1985
Francis Corcoran Appraisal Manager of the Year, the 2001 International Deal of the Year, the
2003 Northern California Deal of the Year, the 2004 Cushman & Wakefield's Charles E.
Griffin Most Valuable Player and the 2004 Cushman & Wakefield's New York Area Most
Ingenious Deal of the Year.
Mr. Liantonio received his bachelor's in economics from Marist College. An active member of
the American Cancer Society for more than 25 years, he currently serves on the Board of
Directors of the American Cancer Society's Eastern Division.
Mr. Corcoran has also been with Cushman & Wakefield since 1981 and is a member of the
Board of Directors. He now heads the firm's Valuation Services within its Capital Markets Group
and serves as Chairman of the Facilities Review Committee, which makes recommendations
concerning all of the company's leased facilities.
Mr. Corcoran has received various awards, including the 1991 Robert T. Lawrence Memorial
Award, Cushman & Wakefield's 1989 Deal of the Year, the 2000 Person of the Year Award from
the Metropolitan New York Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, the 2002 Louise Lee and Y.T. Lum
Award from the Appraisal Institute and the 2004 Cushman & Wakefield's Charles E. Griffin
Most Valuable Player Award.
Mr. Corcoran is a graduate of Marist College. He has taught real estate appraisal and
investment analysis courses at various universities, including New York University, Queens
College and Long Island University at C.W. Post, and has lectured at Yale University and
