  • Seven Prominent Executives Join Booming Brokerage Operations

    Cushman & Wakefield Continues to Attract Top Talent in Southern California

    In a move that gives a tremendous boost to Cushman & Wakefield’s Brokerage Services in the Western United States, the firm today announced that seven prominent real estate professionals, all from Trammell Crow Company, have joined the Inland Empire, Orange County and Los Angeles South Bay operations of the firm.

    Inland Empire

    Philip M. Lombardo has been named an Executive Director.  Mr. Lombardo will be responsible for the strategic development and operations of the Inland Empire office and will focus on growing and servicing the company’s institutional and corporate client base, and sourcing development opportunities.                                              

    Ron Heim has joined as an Executive Director. He will focus on the San Gabriel Valley, North Orange County and the Inland Empire markets. 

    Sean Austin and Sean Kern have joined as Associate Directors. 

    Orange County

    Elizabeth A. Hurley has joined as a Senior Director.  As an office specialist, she will focus on tenant and landlord representation.

    Los Angeles South

    Steve R. Bohannon has joined as a Director.  Mr. Bohannon will focus on industrial property sales and leasing transactions in the Los Angeles South Bay area. 

    Tom Sheets has joined as a Director.  Mr. Sheets will focus on representing corporate and institutional office landlords and tenants in Greater Los Angeles area.

    The firm has also recently hired Eric Hinkelman, previously with Trammell Crow Company, to manage the Orange County branch office.

    Philip Lombardo

    A leading commercial real estate professional in Southern California, Mr. Lombardo brings more than 21 years of commercial real estate experience to Cushman & Wakefield.  He was previously with Trammell Crow Company as Executive Vice President and Principal overseeing the marketing of industrial property and sourcing development opportunities in the Inland Empire and Eastern Los Angeles markets.  He was also involved in tenant representation transactions on the West Coast for local and national clients.  Since 1999, Mr. Lombardo has completed or sourced eight development projects totaling more than five million square feet.  Mr. Lombardo has leased or sold more than 20 million square feet of buildings valued in excess of $1.5 Billion.  From 1995 through 2006 he was perennially ranked among the top ten percent of Trammell Crow’s brokers and in 2001 was the top ranked broker in the company.  Prior to Trammell Crow, Mr. Lombardo spent nine years at Cushman & Wakefield.  

    Ron Heim

    Mr. Heim has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate. Over the course of his career, he was involved in more than 2,000 transactions involving building and land sales, build-to-suits, tenant representation and investment sales.  Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Heim was a Senior Vice President and Principal with Trammell Crow Company involved in marketing properties for major developers and owners and winning the firm’s annual Top 10 award in Southern California from 1996 to 2006.  He is also a multiple-year award winner of the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership Broker of the Year award.  

    Elizabeth Hurley

    Ms. Hurley was previously a Senior Vice President with Trammell Crow Company specializing in office brokerage in Orange County with focus on landlord and tenant representation.  She was ranked in the firm’s Top 10 for Southern California in 2002 and 2003 and National Top 40 in 2003.  Ms. Hurley was also named Irvine Company Broker of the Year 2003 and awarded Irvine Company's Top Performing Broker for the 3rd Quarter 2002 and 4th Quarter 2004. Additionally, she was named one of Orange County’s Top 20 Brokers by Costar in 2004. Prior to joining Trammell Crow Company, Ms. Hurley spent 15 years in brokerage at CB Richard Ellis.

    Steve Bohannon

    Mr. Bohannon has more than 16 years of experience in commercial real estate with focus on landlord and tenant representation.  Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Bohannon was with Trammell Crow Company as a Vice President overseeing the marketing of industrial property for institutional owners and executing tenant representation transactions for major national clients.  Mr. Bohannon’s clients include ADT, AMB, Invesco, Kennedy Associates, Southern California Gas Company and Tyco Electronics. 

    Tom Sheets

    Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Sheets spent eight years with Trammell Crow Company as a Senior Vice President specializing in project leasing, corporate advisory services and tenant representation in Greater Los Angeles area. Tenant and corporate representation included Los Angeles Unified School District, United Healthcare, County of Los Angeles, SBC Services, and University of Southern California. Landlord representation included Broadreach Capital Partners, The Ratkovich Company, AMB Properties, AEW, JP Morgan, Clarion and Argus Realty Advisors.

    Sean Austin

    Mr. Austin was previously a Senior Associate with Trammell Crow Company. He currently focuses on the marketing of institutionally owned industrial properties in Eastern Los Angeles County as well as the Inland Empire.  Among Mr. Austin's clients are Landlord's Kennedy Associates, ING Clarion, AMB, AEW, and Morgan Stanley.  In addition, Mr. Austin sources development opportunities as well as executes tenant representation assignments for national clients. Mr. Austin was a member of the Top Ten for Trammell Crow brokers in So Cal.  He is a former professional hockey player. 

     Sean Kern

    Mr. Kern was previously a Senior Associate with Trammell Crow Company focusing on office leasing, tenant representation and investment sales in the San Gabriel Valley, North Orange County and Inland Empire.  He has represented landlords such as AEW and LBA Realty and tenants such as US Healthworks and Goodrich.  In 2003, Mr. Kern was named Rookie of the Year with Trammell Crow Company and he also received Broker of the Year award from the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership.  In 2000, he was a member of the USA Olympic Water Polo team for the Sydney Olympics.
