John Lewis appoints C&W & Ashworths as agents for John Lewis at home

John Lewis has announced plans to open a series of new format shops specialising exclusively on the home sector to trade as John Lewis at home and has appointed Cushman & Wakefield and Ashworths as their retained agents.

The new shop (at circa 50-60,000 sq ft) is smaller than the conventional full line shop but will still offer two thirds of the products found in a typical full line offer within a high quality environment.

The first pilot store opened in Poole on October 22^nd 2009.

The target is to open some 30 shops both in town centre and out of town locations to give customers more convenient access to John Lewis products.
