Cushman & Wakefield Executive Managing Director Andrew Ratner has been appointed to lead
the firm’s newly created Global Consulting Group. Mr. Ratner will further develop the firm’s
advisory business in collaboration with the company’s Capital Markets, Client Solutions and
brokerage professionals across the globe. He is based in Los Angeles.
The new group will provide strategic advisory services to major clients and help them
address the economic and financial implications of complex real estate transactions. It
will combine the expertise of the firm’s different services lines – brokerage/agency, client
solutions and capital markets – and leverage it to devise a well-rounded approach to a client’s
business and real estate needs. Along with the ongoing support of the existing clients, the
responsibilities of the new group will also include the development of new client business
opportunities. The group will bring together the firm’s already existent Business Consulting
Group, which includes Market Access Solutions, Workplace Solutions and Global Supply Chain
Solutions units, as well as Transaction Consulting teams in New York, San Francisco and Los
Angeles.
“Bringing Cushman & Wakefield’s consulting services together into one business
organization will help further position the firm as the industry thought leader and will
further align our services with the needs of our clients,” said Bruce Mosler, President and
CEO, of Cushman & Wakefield.
“This new unit will enhance Cushman & Wakefield’s ability to service clients around the
world,” Mr. Ratner said. “Increasingly, our clients are looking to us for these type of high
level consulting services. This new unit will provide that, with a single point of
contact.”
Mr. Ratner previously led Cushman & Wakefield’s West Coast operations, where he oversaw
revenue growth approaching nearly 100 percent. Prior to that, he was executive vice president
and national director, real estate services, at Cushman Realty Corp. He has more than 25 years
experience in the commercial real estate industry and has advised a prestigious list of clients
on issues such as lease negotiation, joint venture structuring and carried-equity leases,
build-to-suit financing strategies, synthetic leasing, development feasibility analysis, asset
valuation, and disposition and acquisition.
Prior to joining Cushman Realty, Mr. Ratner was a management consultant for KPMG Peat
Marwick, where he specialized in real estate development advisory services.
