The Italian chain Calzedonia, specialized in hosiery and beachwear for women, men and
children, clearly wants to touch solid ground in both Belgium and Luxembourg. After signing a
lease for a shop in Bruges (Steenstraat) and Ghent (Veldstraat), the fashion chain has decided
to open 3 new shops in Antwerp, Hasselt and Luxembourg. In Antwerp, Calzedonia is taking over
the premises of Aerosoles (45 sq.m.) at Meir 119. In Hasselt, they chose for the former
premises of Petit Bateau (85 sq.m.), located at Demerstraat 41. In Luxembourg, a shop of 550
sq.m. will open on Avenue de la Gare. Cushman & Wakefield was involved in all these
transactions.
Calzedonia was founded in 1986 near Verona, Italy, with the aim to create underwear,
stockings and beachwear. More than 15 years later 1400 shops exist throughout the world: from
Italy, Austria, Greece, Hungary to Mexico, Russia, etc. The fashion chain wants to offer a wide
and bright range at a good price-quality ratio.
