Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed by Hermes Real Estate to join Douglas Stevens
& Co as joint letting agent on its expanding Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre in
Sheffield.
The shopping centre is currently undergoing a major extension in three phases which will add
an additional 325,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, with the centre due to total 635,000
sq ft by Spring 2007. The first two phases are now complete and available.
Cushman & Wakefield and Douglas Stevens & Co are targeting fashion, food and home
entertainment retailers to add to the existing tenant mix which is led by Sainsbury's, Boots,
TK Maxx, Top Shop, Wilkinsons and Argos. The centre benefits from an average footfall of
over 154,000 customers per week and is just seven miles from Sheffield city centre.
Richard Morris, Partner at C&W, commented: "We are delighted to have been appointed
on Crystal Peaks at an exciting time in the scheme's development. The area has a growing
retail catchment due to new housing development and consequently there are many great
opportunities for retailers."
