    30 Apr, 2007, London

The rapidly expanding investment management arm of Cushman & Wakefield - Cushman & Wakefield Investors - has made five new appointments in its London office, including Peter Balfour as a partner and senior fund manager.

Peter joins after five years at Joiner Cummings where he was asset manager for clients including the UK Balanced Property Trust.  Prior to this, Peter was a divisional director for UK property funds at Henderson Global Investors.  At C&W Investors, Peter will head up one of the three investment management teams and oversee approximately £800 million of direct property assets.

Gemma Malaperiman has joined the indirect investment team as a partner, having transferred from Cushman & Wakefield's capital markets group.  Drawing on a strong property investment background, Gemma is responsible for the analysis of all indirect investments vehicles.

Gavin Ingram has joined the team as a senior surveyor after five years at LSM Partners, where he was responsible for the asset management of a number of portfolios.

Emre Tek has joined as a fund analyst.  He joins after three years with Weedon Grant Management Consultants and is a graduate of the University of Istanbul with an MSc in financial markets from London Guildhall University.

Tim O'Sullivan has also joined C&W Investors as acquisitions manager having relocated from Scotland where he worked for Cushman & Wakefield's investment and office agency divisions.  Tim's principal role is to source direct property investment opportunities.

C&W Investors now totals over 30 professionals working across its three offices in London, Paris and Frankfurt.  It has over €6.4 billion of assets under management, including €1.35 billion of indirect investments.  In 2006, the team completed over €550 million of direct property transactions along with investing over €170 million into 15 indirect vehicles.

Bill Macleod, partner and joint head of C&W Investors says: "The new arrivals underpin our commitment to expand the investment management business in Europe where we now have the necessary skills set to complement Cushman & Wakefield's local knowledge.  In particular, this expansion in the UK will enable us to achieve higher standards of client servicing whilst also accommodating more business opportunities in both the direct and the indirect markets".
