Cushman & Wakefield announces that Steve Rosetta has been promoted to the position of executive managing director of its San Diego County operations where he will oversee all sales and lease activities, asset management and capital markets functions.

Rosetta is highly respected in the San Diego County commercial real estate industry, with more than 14 years of experience in both management and brokerage roles. He has been affiliated with Cushman & Wakefield since 1996 during which time he has been pivotal in negotiating some of the county's most notable sales and lease transactions. Under his leadership as both owner and manager between 2002 through 2007, the San Diego operation tripled in size - becoming a dominant leader in landlord and tenant representation. He helped spearhead Cushman & Wakefield's acquisition of Burnham Real Estate in early 2008, a strategic and highly successful move that resulted in the formation of the largest commercial real estate services provider in San Diego.

"Steve will be a tremendous asset to our San Diego operations, bringing deep knowledge of the local industry and superb real estate expertise to his position," said Joe Vargas, executive vice president and area leader/southwest region. "His understanding of the challenges faced by real estate owners and tenants today, along with his solution-driven approach and ability to help formulate win-win deal structures, will be invaluable to us as we look to provide our clients with the highest possible level of service and value."

During his career with Cushman & Wakefield, Rosetta has been consistently honored as a top producer, having completed international, national and local transactions totaling more than 11 million square feet and 230 acres of land. As a specialist in corporate tenant representation, he has met the complex real estate needs of numerous clients around the world.

Rosetta's professional and industry activities include serving on Cushman & Wakefield's Americas Management Committee, as well as being an active member of numerous professional organizations including CoreNet, National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP), Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), Urban Land Institute (ULI) the Economic Development Corporation's Next Generation Board.

His community activities include serving as an executive committee member with Junior Achievement and his role in the organizations' formation of its Biz Town facility. He also sits on the executive committee of the non-profit HeadNorth Foundation, which he co-founded following an accident that led to the paralysis of his colleague and friend Eric Northbrook.

Rosetta earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from California State University San Marcos and a master's in real estate development from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
