Commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. has been named exclusive
leasing agent for 65 Challenger Road, a Class A office building in Ridgefield Park. Hartz
Mountain Industries owns the 167,000-square-foot property, which currently offers the
opportunity for a full-floor user to secure prominent building signage with high visibility
from the NJ Turnpike and Route 46.
Marc Trevisan, David DeMatteis and Slava Vaynberg of Cushman & Wakefield's East
Rutherford, N.J. office, are heading the assignment. The team is marketing units from 6,900 to
34,000 square feet; 65 Challenger Road's floor plates include approximately 34,000 square feet.
Hyundai American Shipping Agency currently anchors the property.
The building includes five stories of corporate-quality space above three levels of parking.
Its tenants enjoy New York City skyline and waterfront views, a newly renovated lobby, and an
onsite café and security. The property sits at the confluence of Route 46, I-80 and the NJ
Turnpike, offering two immediate points of access to the George Washington Bridge and a direct,
15-minute bus link to Manhattan.
"65 Challenger Road is located next door to Samsung Electronics America, Inc.'s United
States headquarters, which testifies to the appeal of this location," DeMatteis said.
"Additionally, the amount of exposure that a tenant with signage on the building would
receive is tremendous." The property neighbors a Hilton Garden Hotel.
"With Hartz Mountain Industries as a landlord, tenants at 65 Challenger can expect
nothing but the best accommodations and service," Trevisan said. "We are particularly
gratified to have been selected as leasing agent by this esteemed property owner, which
traditionally markets its assets in house."
