Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq President Jeff Eaton Honored with President’s Award by NAIOP

MINNEAPOLIS (March 1, 2012) - Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq (C&W/NorthMarq) announced
that Jeff Eaton, president of Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq, was recently honored with the
2011 President's Award by the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP)
Minnesota chapter at its annual Awards of Excellence event. NAIOP selected Eaton based on his
work with the chapter's public policy committee, leadership on the local and national boards
and his commitment to the community.
Since joining the company in 1994, Eaton has helped grow the company from fewer than 100 employees to more than 500. Currently as president of Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq, Eaton oversees the newly formed partnership with Cushman & Wakefield and NorthMarq, which offers commercial real estate services, including brokerage, property management, facility management, lease administration, project management and investment sales to corporate occupiers, tenants and investors.
"As president of Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq, Jeff was instrumental brining this newly formed partnership together in the fall of 2011 and now oversees the Minnesota Operation of what is the largest commercial real estate services firm in the state," says Jim Freytag, First Vice President - CBRE and 2011 NAIOP Minnesota chapter president. "He is an industry leader, fierce competitor and truly one of the top tier industry professionals in the Twin Cities. He has had an extraordinary career and if you would ask any of the more than 500 employees that work for his organization, he is a outstanding leader, visionary and friend."
Eaton is a past president of NAIOP and recently finished a three-year term on NAIOP's National Board of Directors. He is also an active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), is on the board of directors for the Minnesota Taxpayers Association, and serves on the editorial board of the Minnesota Real Estate Journal and Minnesota Business. Eaton volunteers with the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities, NAIOP's Community Partner, Catalyst Community Partners, Feed My Starving Children and has spent many years coaching youth sports.
