Four of the firm’s top U.S. Investment Sales professionals unite to
leverage collective expertise
Cushman & Wakefield announced today that it has formed a Southern California Capital
Markets Group, drawing on the collective expertise of four of the firm’s leading U.S.
Investment Sales professionals. The strategy is intended to consolidate superior
resources within a single group in order to provide clients with seamless access to the best
investment expertise the company has to offer across all property types.
Marc Renard, a 24-year veteran of the firm, has been named Managing Director of the
22-person professional group. The three other senior members of the team include David
Hasbrouck, executive vice president; Richard Plummer, executive director; and Steve
Algermissen, senior director. Each professional is recognized throughout the industry as
a leader in the marketing and sale of commercial property. Collectively, they have
completed more than $20 billion in sales.

firm’s overall approach in major markets across the nation.

Marc Renard
Mr. Renard who is recognized as one of the leading investment sales brokers in the country
will be responsible along with his partners for the strategic direction of the firm’s
investment sales activity in Southern California... He has sold in excess of 300 properties
throughout the United States since joining the firm in 1983 including some of the highest
profile transactions in the country. He has been recognized as Cushman &
Wakefield’s Top Investment Sales Broker in the Western Region or in California nine of
the last 11 years. He covers a geographically diverse area, which encompasses all the
major markets on the West Coast. Over the past 18 months, he has marketed properties in
California, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada.
David Hasbrouck
Mr. Hasbrouck is also one of the nation’s leading investment property experts.
He has nearly 30 years of experience specializing in the analysis, disposition and acquisition
of individual and portfolio properties for institutional investors, developers and corporate
users. He has been recognized as Cushman & Wakefield’s Top Investment Sales
Broker for the Western Region on eight occasions, is a two-time recipient of the firm’s
National Deal of the Year Award and has been on the firms’ Board of Directors since 2000.
Over the past 5 years, he has completed a total of nearly $3.5 billion of institutional
investment property sales including nine trophy office towers, 44 industrial projects and 20
major land sites.
Richard Plummer
Mr. Plummer is one of the national leaders managing the sale of trophy office
buildings. His level of activity, combined with more than two-decades of expertise in one
of the nation’s most desirable office markets, has enabled him to provide direct
real-time access to the most active national and international investors for institutional
properties. In the past 36 months he has sold 25 major properties with an asset value of
over $2.1 billion.
Steve Algermissen
Mr. Algermissen has more than two decades of experience specializing in the sale of retail
and commercial properties in the Southern California area. Since joining Cushman &
Wakefield in 1991, his primary focus has been in the sale of major retail assets and suburban
office properties. Throughout his career he has sold more than 40 retail properties totaling
6.9 million square feet and valued in excess of $1.1 billion and 75 office buildings totaling
over 10 million square feet with a value in excess of $1.4 billion.
