Cushman & Wakefield Hotels has announced the appointment of leading specialist hotel
teams from KPMG in London and from CB Richard Ellis in Prague.
These appointments are in line with the firm's aim to build on its existing hotels team and
significantly expand its presence and market share across EMEA.
Nick Pattie currently leads London-based KPMG hospitality and leisure advisory services and
will be joining as Managing Director. Nick brings with him Philip Camble who will join as
a Director and Paul Thomas who joins as an Associate Director. The team brings a
depth of consultancy experience in supporting more than £4 billion of hotel transactions as
well as resort business development throughout Europe and the Middle East. The team was
instrumental in the recent acquisition of a portfolio of seven InterContinental Hotels for $440
million.
In Prague, C&W Hotels has recruited CB Richard Ellis's Central & Eastern European
Hotels Team. Stewart Coggans will join as a Director – Central & Eastern Europe (CEE)
along with Frederic Le Fichoux who will join as a Senior Analyst – CEE. The team will be
based in Cushman & Wakefield's Prague office.
The CBRE team specialises in transactions and advised on high profile successful schemes
such as the acquisition of the Hilton Prague and IBIS Carlton for EUR 145 million. These
six appointments bring the total number of staff in C&W Hotels EMEA to 20 and
complement the recent recruitment of Joel Goldman, Director and John McGuinness, Director
Spa & Leisure, who both joined in January. Both are based at Cushman &
Wakefield Hotels' London headquarters.
John McGuinness' addition brings to the team a new area of expertise – Spa and Leisure
services. As an ex-Director of Champneys Group, he has undertaken many Spa and Leisure
assignments for successful projects throughout Europe. John brings a wealth of knowledge of
creating and operating quality leisure businesses. Joel Goldman joins having worked for
Christies, Chesterton International and Key2 Hotels. His experience has been primarily focused
on UK transactions and asset management, such as the purchase of the Marriott West India Quay
in 2006.
Andrew Williams, Chairman of Cushman & Wakefield Hotels, said: "We are extremely
pleased to have secured all of these appointments as part of our drive to be the hotel and
leisure adviser of choice across the world. We are actively expanding throughout EMEA and look
forward to announcing more appointments in the near future."
Adrian Hill, European board member, Cushman & Wakefield EMEA: "Our joint venture
with Andrew Williams and RH International has exceeded our expectations since it was formed in
early 2006. We are committed to backing the brand and investing in the necessary people
and resources to ensure that we become the best in the sector."
The hotels sector is a strategically important area for the firm and it is
committed to developing the business to become the leading player within the next five
years. These appointments position Cushman & Wakefield Hotels at the
forefront of hotel consultancy and agency throughout EMEA.
