World Famous Transamerica Pyramid Properties Added To C&W Leasing And Management Portfolio

Cushman & Wakefield announced today it has been named the new leasing and management agent for the world famous Transamerica Pyramid and the Pyramid Center properties at 600 Montgomery, 505 and 545 Sansome Streets in San Francisco.
AEGON USA Realty Advisors, Inc.(AEGON), which provides real estate services to Transamerica Pyramid Properties, LLC, owners of the prestigious properties, said the appointment of Cushman & Wakefield became effective September 1, 2006.
The formal interview process, which was initiated in April of 2006 by AEGON, was conducted in order to adhere to certain internal policies and procedures in its management of real estate operations, which includes periodically competitively bidding its major third party service providers.
AEGON was looking for a company that had national strength and expertise in managing commercial real estate assets, an integrated service’s platform as well as providing outstanding tenant services. Cushman & Wakefield, which manages 430 million square feet around the world, specializes in managing and leasing for third party owners and also has an existing relationship with AEGON.
The Pyramid Center is home to tenants desiring a West Coast presence. The Transamerica Pyramid was built in 1972. Transamerica Pyramid Properties, LLC is a subsidiary of Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Company, a member company of the AEGON Group.
