In a move to enhance its powerful Investment Sales Division in the U.S., Cushman &
Wakefield announced the promotion of two executives and the successful recruitment of a third.
The firm announced today that Stephen Jones, a longtime veteran of the firm, has been named
head of the U.S. Investment Sales Division, a unit of the firm’s Capital Markets Group.
It also announced that Keith Misner has been named co-head of the division and that Mark Hillis
has joined the division’s management team from Morgan Stanley Real Estate as a senior managing
director.
Mr. Jones, who is based in New York and San Francisco, is an executive managing director in
the Capital Markets Group. The Investment Sales Division consists of 125 investment
professionals located in 25 Cushman & Wakefield offices in the U.S., and has annual sales
and finance transactions exceeding $25 billion in the U.S.
Over the last 15 years, Mr. Jones has been responsible for the firm’s institutional
relationships, as well as record breaking transactions involving the industry’s most prominent
institutional investors. He originated and managed the $1.75 billion, 16-property sale
for Metropolitan Life in 2002; and in 2005 he directed the sale of the MetLife Building at 200
Park Avenue in Manhattan, the single largest office building sale of all time, for $1.72
billion.
Keith Misner has been named co-head of the division. Mr. Misner, who is based in
Washington, D.C., is an executive managing director in the Capital Markets Group. He has
been responsible for the firm’s national apartment brokerage operations for the past three
years. During that period, Cushman & Wakefield and its Apartment Brokerage Services
group has grown from infancy into a $6 billion-plus business, with 42 apartment brokers and
major national clients.
Mark Hillis has joined Cushman & Wakefield from Morgan Stanley Real Estate as senior
managing director in the Capital Markets Group. In his new position, he will be based in
Atlanta. At Morgan Stanley, he was an executive director and was involved with $10
billion in sales in the last eight years.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets Group provides advisory, transaction and
investment management services to clients engaged in buying, selling, investing in, or
