Kathleen M. Holmes, MAI has joined the Capital Markets Group of Cushman & Wakefield of
Arizona, Inc. as a senior appraiser. In addition, she will serve as a member of the
National Government Affairs Practice Team.
Holmes brings more than 20 years of appraisal experience to the position with a unique mix
of private sector, federal government and banking background. Her tenure in the field includes
experience in appraisal, appraisal review and consulting for a vast range of commercial,
industrial, residential subdivision, rural land and agricultural properties. She also
brings experience with land exchanges, acquisitions, conservation easements, right-of-ways and
the disposition of federal lands.
Most recently she served as the Arizona Lead Appraiser for the Department of Interior,
National Business Center, Appraisal Services Directorate. Prior to her government
positions, Holmes worked in the private sector for such companies as Pacific Century Bank,
First Interstate Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank.
Holmes has been appointed by two governors and twice confirmed by the state Senate to the
Arizona State Land Department Board of Appeals. “We’re very pleased to have

Holmes is a member of the Phoenix Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and is an officer on
the Board of Directors. She also serves by invitation on the National Appraisal Institute
Government Special Interest Group. She is a candidate Member of the American Society of
Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. Holmes is also a member of the prestigious Lambda
Alpha International Land Economics Fraternity.
In addition, Holmes serves as a Board of Directors Member and Officer of Greater Phoenix
Youth at Risk and has been involved in several other community organizations on a volunteer
basis. She is also a member of the Women’s Metropolitan Arts Council, supporters to the
Phoenix Art Museum.
Holmes holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Arizona State University,
a Real Estate Brokers License, and earned the MAI professional designation from the Appraisal
Institute.
