CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD TO WORK FOR THE PRAGUE AIRPORT

Cushman & Wakefield, a commercial real estate consultancy, will help Letiste Praha s.p. to put together an appropriate assortment of the services and products offered at the airport. The co-operation will mainly concern the building that connects Terminal North 1 and Terminal North 2, in the part accessible to the public as well as the areas intended for the passengers of Prague - Ruzyne international airport.

C&W has been selected in a tendering process.

C&W and Letiste Praha want to focus on creating a good tenants mix in the location specified which will offer services and products mainly for the employees and visitors of the Prague Airport. The preferred uses of the retail units include a chemist, a baggage shop, and services such as baggage repair, dry cleaning, financial institutions, travel agencies, etc.

“In the public part of the connecting building, Mc Donald’s, the food service operator, opened its outlet in July 2007. Czech Post will open a post office there very soon, making this location much more attractive,” says Jan Kotrbacek, a Cushman & Wakefield consultant who is directly involved in the lease of this space and related advice.

“The forthcoming expansion of the range of shops and services in the building that connects the terminals is part of our strategy for further enlivening the airport areas and making the airport accessible to the general public. At the same time we want to create a zone that will be used also by the people who work at the airport. This is why we also prefer a chemist and a dry cleaner,” comments Marta Guthova, Executive Director for Trade and Services of Letiste Praha, on the project for the new commercial section.
