Cushman & Wakefield has successfully mediated a prominent logistics project in Antwerp
harbour. The renowned Cordeel construction company, which is based in Temse, is to build a
modern logistics complex for Confreight (a subsidiary of the Vanguard Logistics Group) on a
70,000 m² site on Schomhoeveweg in Antwerp. The scheme includes 4,000 m² of office space
and 38,750 m² of storage, of which around 2,000 m² is intended for storing hazardous
goods. Cushman & Wakefield is actively involved in supporting and promoting further
research into logistics solutions throughout Belgium, with a particular focus on Antwerp
harbour. The increasingly international nature of the major players in the world of logistics
has resulted in a massive increase in demand for advice on real estate. The level of expertise
offered by an international company such as Cushman & Wakefield is indispensable.
The official start of construction is planned for 25 October 2007.
