Cushman & Wakefield announced today that it has appointed Chris Jones as an Associate and head of planning in Manchester. Chris joins from Matthews & Goodman where he has worked since 2000 and was most recently head of the national planning team.

Chris will be part of the national planning team headed by partner, Ian Blacker.

Chris has worked as a planning consultant since 1998 and has considerable experience in, and knowledge of development control, development planning and appeal related work in both the public and private sector.  Prior to Matthews & Goodman, Chris worked at Chesterton and before that at Halton Borough Council.

This appointment is in line with Cushman & Wakefield’s strategy to expand its national planning practice operating from London and the regions. Further appointments to the national planning team will be announced shortly.

Ian Blacker, partner and head of national planning team at Cushman & Wakefield, said:  “Chris will be a great asset within both our national planning team and the Manchester office.  We are confident that by strengthening our planning capability across the UK we can leverage the success of our existing planning team and  become a driving force in the sector.”
