Cushman & Wakefield announced today that it has appointed Chris Jones as an Associate
and head of planning in Manchester. Chris joins from Matthews & Goodman where he has worked
since 2000 and was most recently head of the national planning team.
Chris will be part of the national planning team headed by partner, Ian Blacker.
Chris has worked as a planning consultant since 1998 and has considerable experience in, and
knowledge of development control, development planning and appeal related work in both the
public and private sector. Prior to Matthews & Goodman, Chris worked at Chesterton
and before that at Halton Borough Council.
This appointment is in line with Cushman & Wakefield’s strategy to expand its national
planning practice operating from London and the regions. Further appointments to the national
planning team will be announced shortly.
Ian Blacker, partner and head of national planning team at Cushman & Wakefield,

Cushman & Wakefield’s Manchester operation was established in 2005 and now has a total
of 30 staff.
