Andrew Thompson, BSc (Hons) MLE MRICS, becomes Managing
Partner of the new Cushman & Wakefield office in Slovakia. The new office opens in
Bratislava on 23 January 2008.
Andrew joined C&W as an Investment Surveyor in the Scottish office in 1997, based in
Glasgow. He moved to Prague in 2000 to become Head of the Prague Office Agency team. Recently
he has been asked to set up the office in Bratislava. Andrew trained in the UK and is a
fully qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is currently
studying for a Diploma in Property Investment to augment his wide experience and
skills.
Andrew Thompson has been involved in a number of office acquisitions in both Czech and
Slovak Republics on behalf of blue chip tenants including Lovells, PriceWaterhouseCoopers,
Procter & Gamble, Merck, Ford Motor Company, 3M, EC Harris and Provident
Financial.
Whilst the majority of this experience has been secured in the Czech Republic, Andrew is
involved in several tenant representations in Bratislava at the current time, as well as
overseeing the leasing on the 28,000 sqm Lakeside Park office building. He has
built a reputation for being one of the leading experts in the region and his approach and
dedication to detail and client care are highly valued.
As one of the few RICS members active in the Slovakian market, Andrew’s aim is to
bring a professional approach to real estate advisory to that market in the same way that this
has been achieved in the Czech market.
