Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) recently announced the
appointment of Bruno Santos, Bruno Silva, Nuno Magalhães and Paulo Pereira to its asset
management department.
Bruno Santos attended part of a Business Studies degree at Lisbon’s Universidade Lusófona,
and prior to joining C&W, he worked as a facilities manager at Portuguese property
management company PREA.
In his turn, Bruno Silva holds a degree in Economics from Universidade Lusíada, and a
post-graduate degree in real estate and shopping centre management. Bruno worked at Ségécé as a
shopping centre manager, and was in charge of various properties, including Carrefour, Pingo
Doce and Feira Nova shopping centres.
Nuno Magalhães, is returning to C&W where he had carried out the same role of asset
manager between 2001 and 2002. Between these two periods of time he had similar
responsibilities at property consultant Jones Lang LaSalle, and was responsible for the asset
management of clients such as Promosete, Deutsche Bank, LaSalle Investment Management, and
Banif Investimento, among others.
Paul Pereira has a degree in Business Studies from ISLA, and prior to joining C&W, he
was a valuer at real estate valuation company Qualitas.
The asset management team, headed by Ricardo Valente (Associate) has now 13 professionals
and 36 buildings under management, including part of Imopólis and Chamartín Imobiliária
portfolios, Torre Zen (owned by Standard Life Investments), Torre Fernão Magalhães (owned by
Credit Suisse) and the headquarters of IBM (owned by Deutsche Bank), the latter located in the
Parque das Nações, in Lisbon.
C&W is responsible for all the administrative formalities relating to the properties of
its clients, also providing technical management services, including maintenance contracts and
the day-to-day technical management of the buildings. All the financial aspects of the
properties are also handled by the consultant, including services such as invoicing and payment
of rents, taxes and expenses of tenants, management of bank accounts, verification of current
accounts and the preparation of financial reports.
