Lease Signed Downtown At Sixth Avenue For $1.6 Million

The Gaslamp Quarter in Downtown San Diego gets a stylish addition to its list of hip salons & retailers with the addition of Saco, a London-based hair salon that opened last month at 540 Sixth Avenue.

According to the Downtown San Diego office of Cushman & Wakefield, Saco Hair LLC signed an 11-year, $1,668,500 lease for 4,500 square feet of space in a mixed use building located at the corner of Sixth and Island. The salon will be the third Saco location in the world, joining a second location in Montreal, Canada.

“Saco is known for its trendy hair design and exceptional training programs, all the result of the creative talents of the founders which are prior creative directors with Vidal Sassoon,” said Corinna Gattasso, director with Cushman & Wakefield’s Urban Property Group.

The Saco location at 540 Sixth Ave. is the ground floor of a three-story building located across the street from Alta, a 179-unit condominium project that houses a Long’s Drug Store on the ground floor.
