Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate advisory firm has been appointed an exclusive
agent for the commercialization of a new shopping centre, Galeria Słoneczna, in Radom, located
at Bolesława Chrobrego Street, in the city centre. The developer is an international real
estate development and investment company, AIG/Lincoln Polska.
The Centre was designed by Apa Wojciechowski in cooperation with Altoon & Porter. The
construction has commenced and the opening is scheduled for 2010. The Centre offers 42,000 sq.
m. of rentable space and is already 36% leased to retailers such as Alma Delikatesy, H&M,
Reserved, Cropp Town, C&A, Intersport, RTV EURO AGD, Multikino and other known
international and local brands. Galeria Słoneczna will be the first retail and entertainment
center in Radom housing also an Aqua park, sports club, bowling, kid’s play area and
amphitheater. A housing estate with 350 residential units is planned next to the centre.
Radom in terms of size, is the second largest city of Mazovian Voivodship. It is located
about 100 km south of Warsaw and linked with the capital by a direct railway line and a
national road No.77 that connects Warsaw with Kielce and Cracow. Radom has 225,000 inhabitants;
however, it still lacks modern retail schemes.
„We are convinced of the success of our project. Modern architecture coupled with
functionality will change the face of the city. Radom deserves a modern well designed shopping
centre and Aquapark.” said Mirosław Szydelski, Investment Director at AIG/Lincoln Polska.
Daria Kotarska, Senior Analysts in Retail Department of Cushman & Wakefield, said: „The
